Personal Pronouns

• Subject pronouns — I, you, he, she, it, we, they — replace nouns doing the action.
• Pick the pronoun matching person and number (one girl → she).
• Intro to I vs me — I as subject; me after to/for.
• CBSE Class 3 English reader sentences use pronouns to avoid repetition.

Level 1 — Core idea

Verbal: Instead of repeating 'Ravi' every time, say 'He runs, he jumps.'

Symbolic: Ravi runs → He runs. The girls sing → They sing.

Visual: Table: 1st person I/we, 2nd you, 3rd he/she/it/they.

Level 2 — Going deeper

I + verb: I am happy. Me after to/for: Give it to me. At Class 3, check if pronoun does the verb (subject).

Replace 'Ananya': Ananya loves drawing.

Step 1 — Who acts? Ananya (one girl).
Step 2 — Subject pronoun = **she**
Step 3 — **She** loves drawing. ✓

The boys kick the ball. → ? kick the ball.

Step 1 — More than one boy → **they**
Step 2 — **They** kick the ball.
Check: subject does verb ✓

• Fill: ___ (I) am in Class 3.

• Replace: The girls read. → ___ read.
• Stretch: Write two sentences about yourself using I and we.
