Skip Counting

• To count forward by 2s, 5s, and 10s without counting every number.
• How skip counting helps in money, pairs, and groups.

Verbal: Count aloud in jumps: ten, twenty, thirty… — each step adds one ten without counting every number.

Symbolic: By 10s: 10, 20, 30… Rule: n → n + 10. By 5s: 5, 10, 15… Rule: n → n + 5.
